WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University women's volleyball team is back on the court Tuesday night with a non-conference matchup at Ursuline. First serve is set for 6 p.m. in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
The Hilltoppers (4-5) have shown balance through the opening stretch of the season, averaging 11.2 kills per set with a .176 hitting percentage while holding opponents to a nearly identical .180. Junior Ashley Cudnik leads the attack with 84 kills (2.71/set), while sophomore Liv McAtee has added 66 kills and a team-best 70.5 points. At the net, Adrienne Staib has been a steady two-way presence with 38 kills and a team-leading 29 total blocks.
West Liberty's setting duties have been anchored by Dakoda Keni, who has handed out 178 assists (5.39/set), while libero Bella Dart has paced the back row with 113 digs (3.42/set).
Ursuline (0-4) enters Tuesday still searching for its first win of the season. The Arrows are averaging 7.5 kills per set while hitting .049 as a team. Senior Ellie Zoeckler leads Ursuline with 24 kills (2.00/set) and has also chipped in four service aces. On defense, Mya Jackson has recorded a team-high 28 digs.
The Hilltoppers and Arrows last met earlier this season at the Ashland Invitational, where West Liberty posted a 3-0 sweep. Tuesday's contest marks the first head-to-head matchup in Pepper Pike.
