WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — Five members of the West Liberty University softball team have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District Softball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators. The prestigious honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Among the honorees, Sydney Johnson has been named a finalist for Academic All-American recognition.
Leah Alford, Jaden Conrad, Sydney Johnson, Kayla Mancuso, and Isabella McKee earned Academic All-District® honors after standout seasons both academically and athletically.
Johnson, who maintains a 3.74 GPA as a dental hygiene major, has already received multiple postseason accolades, including NFCA Division II All-Atlantic Region Second Team, All-Mountain East Conference (MEC) First Team, and MEC All-Tournament Team honors.
Alford, a junior pre-professional speech pathology major, holds a 3.94 GPA. Conrad, also a junior, carries a 3.78 GPA in human biology. McKee, a sophomore dental hygiene major, maintains a 3.50 GPA, while Mancuso recently graduated with a degree in human biology and a 3.71 GPA.
Academic All-American recipients will be announced on June 17.
