Hilltoppers Announce 2025-26 Schedule as Kyle Cooper Enters Ninth Season

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University women's basketball team has released its 2025-26 schedule, which features a balanced mix of non-conference games and Mountain East Conference (MEC) matchups. Head Coach Kyle Cooper returns for his ninth season, leading a program focused on consistency, development, and competing at a high level.

The Hilltoppers open at home with back-to-back games against Edinboro University (Nov. 14) and California University of Pennsylvania (Nov. 15), before hitting the road for three straight, including a pre-Thanksgiving matchup at Seton Hill University (Nov. 25).

"This schedule gives us a chance to test ourselves right away," said Cooper. "We'll see how we respond and grow from each challenge."

December includes three home games — Salem, WV Wesleyan, and Tiffin — and three road games, including a visit to Charleston. After the break, the Hilltoppers begin MEC play in full, starting January 3 at Davis & Elkins.

Key home dates in January include Glenville State (Jan. 14), Wheeling University (Jan. 24), and University of Charleston (Jan. 31). February closes out the regular season with four home games and three on the road, ending with contests at Salem (Feb. 25) and Wheeling (Feb. 28).

"Our conference is competitive from top to bottom," Cooper said. "We'll need to be ready each night."

As the new season approaches, Cooper and his staff are focused on building from last year and preparing the team for another strong run.
