Calabash, N.C. – The West Liberty University men's golf team kicked off its spring season at the D&E Battle at Brunswick, hosted at the Brunswick Plantation & Golf Resort.
Play was suspended in the second round due to darkness and will resume Saturday morning.
The Hilltoppers currently sit in sixth place as a team at +28 overall. Individually, Jayson Beckner leads the squad at +3, followed by Brogan Bennett at +7, Justin Doerr at +8, and Noah Seiverston at +12. Awethu Mkwanazi stands at +16.
Two WLU golfers are competing independently this weekend—Erik Lindholm, who is at +11, and Johannes Chang, currently at +15.
West Liberty is scheduled to resume its second round at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
