West Liberty’s Quarterfinal Game to Air on SportsNet Pittsburgh+

West Liberty, W.Va. – Fans of No. 5 West Liberty University men's basketball are in for a treat as the Hilltoppers' Mountain East Conference (MEC) Quarterfinal game will be broadcast to a wide audience on MEC TV and SportsNet Pittsburgh+.

The MEC Basketball Championship continues to expand its broadcast reach, offering enhanced coverage of the tournament. In partnership with West Virginia MetroNews, 13 of the 14 men's and women's tournament games will air on regional television via SportsNet Pittsburgh and SportsNet Pittsburgh+ (full schedule below). Coverage kicks off with the MEC women's quarterfinals on Thursday, March 6.

Expanding Coverage for Fans

"During our decade-long partnership with West Virginia MetroNews, the Mountain East Conference has continually grown our digital presence and television opportunities, and WVMN has been a crucial partner," said MEC Commissioner Reid Amos. "We are thrilled that 13 of our 14 games, from the quarterfinals through the championship, will be available on regional television via SportsNet Pittsburgh and SNP+."

The tournament opens with first-round games on Wednesday, March 5, while SportsNet Pittsburgh's regional coverage begins with the MEC women's quarterfinals at noon on March 6. Full tournament coverage, including schedules and live updates, is available at MountainEast.org.

Over the final three days of the event, nine out of ten games will be broadcast on SportsNet Pittsburgh or SportsNet Pittsburgh+, including the men's quarterfinals on Friday, March 7. That day, the noon and 2:30 p.m. matchups will air on SportsNet Pittsburgh+, while the 6 p.m. game will be on SportsNet Pittsburgh.

Championship Weekend Broadcast Details

All six weekend games—men's and women's semifinals on Saturday and the championship games on Sunday—will be featured on SportsNet Pittsburgh+. The women's championship game on Sunday, March 10, will air on a delay at 6 p.m., with replays of both title games scheduled for Sunday night (men at 7:15 p.m., women at 11:15 p.m.).

In addition, NESN NATION (New England Sports Network's new FAST channel) will carry select games, including two matchups on Friday, March 7 (6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.), two on Saturday, March 8 (6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.), and the MEC Men's Championship at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.

How to Watch

For those without access to SportsNet Pittsburgh through a traditional TV provider, the SNP app is available via FireStick, Roku, Apple TV+, and other OTT streaming services with a subscription.
