West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University softball team returns to action this weekend in Hickory, N.C., to compete in the Bear Bash at Lenoir-Rhyne.
The Hilltoppers are scheduled to face Assumption University at 2:30 p.m. and Augusta University at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, they will take Young Harris College at 10 a.m. and then close things out against the host Bears at 2:30 p.m.
WLU enters the weekend at 0-2 after dropping a pair of games to UIndy last Friday at the Highlands Sports Complex.
Emily Allen leads the Hilltoppers' offense with a .500 batting average. In the circle, Madison Angus has posted a 1.17 ERA over 6.0 innings pitched, while Kadence Pettit has a 2.10 ERA in 3.1 innings pitched.
