WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. West Liberty University Athletics is partnering with Hilltop Catholic Campus Ministry to host a campus-wide Food Drive to benefit the WLU Food Pantry.

Fans attending Hilltopper athletic events on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to donate at the gate. Collection boxes will be available at all home events, including:

  • Friday, Nov. 14: WLU Basketball Games

  • Saturday, Nov. 15: WLU vs. Wheeling Football Game

  • Saturday, Nov. 15: WLU Basketball Games

Each fan who donates will be entered to win one of five WLU prize baskets as a thank-you for their support.

For those unable to attend in person, donations can also be made directly to the Food Pantry through its Amazon Wish List, allowing items to be shipped straight to campus. The Amazon link can be accessed by scanning the QR code featured on promotional materials or on the WLU Athletics and Campus Ministry websites.

The WLU Food Pantry provides essential resources to help support students facing food insecurity, ensuring that every Hilltopper has access to nutritious meals throughout the year.

"This is a great opportunity for our fans, student-athletes, and community to come together and make a difference," said  WLU Athletic Director Brad Forshey. "Every donation helps support our students and strengthens the sense of care and connection that defines our campus."

"The campus food drive reflects the compassion and unity of the West Liberty community," said Jacob Manning, General Counsel and Catholic Campus Minister. "By supporting our food pantry, not only do we show care for one another but also we ensure every student has what they need to thrive."
