WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University volleyball team looks to extend its winning streak Friday night when it travels to Fairmont State for a pivotal Mountain East Conference matchup. First serve is set for 7 p.m. inside Joe Retton Arena.

The Hilltoppers (16-11, 8-3 MEC) enter the weekend riding a three-match win streak following a straight-set victory over Point Park on Tuesday. West Liberty has been strong on both sides of the net this fall, ranking among the league leaders in hitting percentage (.210) while holding opponents to just a .147 clip.

Junior Ashley Cudnik continues to pace the Hilltopper attack with 317 kills on the season, while Liv McAtee (186) and Kyia White (152) provide steady offensive support. Setter Dakoda Keni directs the offense with 711 assists and also leads the team in service aces (28). On the defensive side, libero Bella Dart anchors the back row with 346 digs, and Adrienne Staib heads the blocking effort with 78 total blocks.

Fairmont State (19-9, 7-4 MEC) has also found success down the stretch, winning five of its last six contests. The Falcons are led offensively by Joey Borelle, who ranks among the MEC's top hitters with 386 kills, while Josie Skinn fuels the defense with 556 digs. As a team, Fairmont is hitting .184 and averaging 13.1 kills per set while posting 2.4 blocks per frame.

West Liberty swept Fairmont State in their first meeting this season, winning 3–0 at the ASRC on October 3. The Hilltoppers hit .214 in that match, holding the Falcons to just 29 kills and a .028 attack percentage.

Friday's match will be another crucial test in a tightly packed MEC North Division race, where only two matches separate the top four teams in the standings.
