10/20/2025 3:15:00 PM

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — West Liberty University junior Dakoda Keni has been named the Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

The Kahuku, Hawaii native was instrumental in leading the Hilltoppers to a 3–0 week, including sweeps over Wheeling, Davis & Elkins, and West Virginia Wesleyan. Running the offense with precision and poise, Keni totaled 115 assists, 23 digs, and 23.5 points across the three matches, while helping West Liberty post an impressive .296 team hitting percentage over the stretch.

Keni opened the week with a standout performance in the 3–2 win over Wheeling, dishing out 47 assists to go with 12 digs, two blocks, and two kills in a complete all-around effort. She followed that up with 36 assists and six digs in a sweep at Davis & Elkins, before closing the week with another dominant showing — 34 assists, seven digs, and three kills — in Saturday's 3–0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan.

Through 76 sets this season, Keni has amassed 515 assists, 182 digs, 37 kills, and 17 service aces, while hitting an efficient .225 from the right side. Her consistency and leadership at setter have been key to West Liberty's success, as the Hilltoppers have won five of their last six matches and currently sit atop the MEC North Division standings.

West Liberty (11–10, 4–2 MEC) returns to action this weekend for a three-match road swing, beginning Friday at Glenville State, followed by matches at Concord and Salem.
