WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University women's tennis team will close its fall regular season on Saturday when it travels to face Seton Hill University for a non-conference matchup at Penn Trafford High School.
The Hilltoppers are coming off a strong overall showing at the Bobcat Challenge, hosted by West Virginia Wesleyan, where several players posted deep runs in both singles and doubles play. Maria Martirosyan led the way with a runner-up finish in the B Flight singles and teamed with Courtney Curnutte to reach the B Flight doubles final. Curnutte also finished fourth in her singles flight, while Sanchita Dabas, Elle Monaco, and Kaylex Gibson each picked up wins across their respective draws.
In doubles action, Dabas and Monaco advanced to the C Flight championship, and Gibson paired with senior Mia Camilletti to win the C Flight backdraw title, capping an impressive weekend for Head Coach Travis Closser's group.
