West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's basketball team is set to return to action on Wednesday, facing Frostburg State University on the road.

The Hilltoppers (5-7 overall, 3-2 MEC) haven't played since their December 20 matchup against Tiffin University, where junior guard Bailee Smith scored 17 points to become the 39th player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points.

West Liberty has historically held the edge in this series, winning eight of the last ten games against the Bobcats. However, they've struggled recently in Frostburg, dropping their last two contests there.

The Hilltoppers boast a trio of top-10 MEC scorers in Jenna Riccardo (15.4 ppg), Bailee Smith (15.0 ppg), and Karli Anker (14.8 ppg). Smith is also tied for the league lead in three-point field goals (31) and ranks second in three-point shooting percentage (.365).

As a team, West Liberty leads the MEC in three-pointers per game (10.1) and ranks second in total three-pointers made (111). Meanwhile, Frostburg State holds the league's best team three-point shooting percentage at .351.

Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday night in Frostburg, Md.
