Toppers Cruise to Win Over Point Park

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The No. 16 West Liberty University men's basketball team dominated their Mountain East Conference matchup with Point Park on Thursday night, rolling to a 112-73 victory at the CCAC Gymnasium.

The Hilltoppers (14-3, 8-2) wasted no time taking control, jumping out to an early 26-6 lead fueled by an 18-0 blackout run. By halftime, WLU had built a commanding 57-29 advantage.

In the second half, West Liberty extended their lead to as many as 44 points, leaving no doubt in their wire-to-wire win.

Freshman John Dragas tied his career-high with 21 points, sinking five three-pointers to lead seven Hilltoppers in double figures. Lanyc Shuler contributed 16 points and five steals, while Daniel Autrey, Kameron Tinsley, and Finley Woodward each scored 12 points. Dante Spadafora added 11, and the team's leading scorer Kyler D'Augustino finished with 10 points.

The Hilltoppers will now prepare for a Saturday showdown against county rival Wheeling, with tip-off set for 4 p.m. at the McDonough Center.
