West Liberty, W.Va. - The West Liberty University women's volleyball team opened Mountain East Conference play Friday night with an impressive 3-1 win over Charleston. With the victory the Toppers improve to 5-9, 1-0 and have won two in a row. The Toppers won the opening set 25-23, the Golden Eagles took the second set 25-21. The Hilltoppers took the next two, 25-23 and 26-24. 

Topper Leaders: 

• Riley Cudnik and Ashley Cudnik led West Liberty with 13 kills, Liv McAtee had 10

• Haley Zeck led the way with 24 assists and Dakoda Keni was second with 19

• Bella Dart was tops in digs with 12 and Ashley Cudnik had 11

The Hilltoppers return to action Tuesday when they travel to Salem for an out of conference match that starts at 7 p.m.
