Bridgeport, W.Va. – James Salvatori of the West Liberty University baseball team was recognized by the Mountain East Conference on Monday afternoon with MEC Baseball Player of the Week honors, which is presented by The Health Plan. After bringing in the first weekly conference honor since the 2022 season, Salvatori notches his second of his career and second within the last three weeks as he continues to lead the way for the Hilltoppers at the plate early on this season.

• Helped lead West Liberty to a 2-2 week with a pair of wins over Davis & Elkins.
• On the week he went 7-of-18 at the plate with a double, two homeruns, eight RBI, four runs scored, and a stolen base.
• In game one at California (PA) he went 4-of-4 with a double and homerun, three RBI, and two runs.
• In game one at Davis & Elkins he went 3-of-5 with a home run (grand slam), four RBI, and two runs.
