2/28/2024 5:35:00 PM

Indianapolis, Ind. – In the second release of the NCAA Division II men's basketball regional rankings on Wednesday afternoon, West Liberty appeared at No. 4 in the Atlantic Region. The Hilltoppers currently own a 21-5 (15-3) record during the 2023-24 season and are second place in the MEC standings as two games remain in the regular season.

The second poll released by the NCAA was the first look at the teams ranked 1-10 as last week's initial release only listed teams in alphabetical order that were under consideration. The Atlantic Region is made up of schools in the Mountain East Conference (MEC), Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). Each league's tournament champion will receive an automatic bid while the five remaining spots in the bracket will be selected on an at-large basis. In the second release the MEC and the PSAC both had five teams represented.
