Indianapolis, Ind. – In the second release of the NCAA Division II Most Dominant Wrestler award standings on Wednesday morning, West Liberty University's
Ty McGeary, the No. 1 ranked wrestler in the 184 pound weight class remained second in the nation as the top-5 were unchanged from a week ago.
McGeary, who is currently 25-0 this season, has posted a total of 18 bonus point victories this year with nine wins by fall, six tech falls, and three major decisions. Only results against DII opponents will count towards the Most Dominant Wrestler standings, with the point system being calculated by adding the total number of team points awarded through those match results and dividing the number by the total amount of matches wrestled. McGeary currently sits with an average of 5.16, while the NCAA Division II leader, Scott Joll of UNC Pembroke has an average of 5.37 and Isaiah Vance of Pitt-Johnstown is third with an average of 4.86.
