Toppers Look To Stay Unbeaten As They Host Davis & Elkins

West Liberty, W,Va. - The No.4 ranked West Liberty Hilltoppers return to the ASRC as they look to stay unbeaten as they host Davis and Elkins.

West Liberty defeated West Virginia Wesleyan 81-66 Wednesday. The Hilltoppers were led by JJ Harper with 21 points, four rebounds and four steals. Lanyc Shuler added 13 points as the only other player in double-figures.

West Liberty is 84-29 all-time against the Senators, the Toppers won both meetings last season and they have won 24 in a row in the series. The last time the Hilltoppers lost to D&E was Jan. 10, 2002 at Davis & Elkins 75-69.

Head Coach Ben Howlett is closing in on 200 career wins, with Wednesday's win he now has 194 career victories. Howlett has a 194-32 career mark with an .858 winning percentage.

The Toppers are 164-8 in their last 172 home conference games, dating all the way back to the 2007-08 season.

West Liberty is averaging 96 ppg. and is shooting 46 % from the floor, 27 % on three-point attempts and 73 % from the free throw line.
