West Liberty, W.Va. - A slow start by West Liberty Wednesday night at the ASRC allowed Charleston to build a lead the Hilltoppers could not erase, as the Golden Eagles won 85-54. 

The Hilltoppers led 3-2 with 8:50 remaining in the opening quarter when UC went on a 15-0 run to take a 17-3 lead on their way to a 26-9 advantage after the first. 

The Golden Eagles opened the second quarter on a 10-2 run and led by 28 at the half, 50-22. 

Charleston finished the first half with 20 defensive rebounds. 

The third quarter was much closer as UC took a 65-34 lead into the final quarter. 

In the fourth the Golden Eagles would build their largest lead of 35 at 73-38 at 6:38. 

Jenna Riccardo was the only Hilltopper in double-figures with 15 points. 

The Hilltoppers will visit W.Va. State Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
