Bristol,Tenn. - The West Liberty University men's wrestling team brought home a champion and eight placers at the King Open Sunday in Bristol, Tenn.
Freshman Logan Davis won the 125 lb. weight class beating Larry Rhodes of Bluefield State, 5-4 in the finals. Fellow Hilltopper Caiden Harbert was eighth at 125.
At 133 lbs. freshman Josh Carman lost a tough 10-9 decision to Amantee Mills in the finals to finish second.
Tony Wood was sixth at 141 lbs., Braxton Miller was seventh at 157 lbs., Levi Abbott was also seventh at 165 lbs.
At 174 lbs. Topper teammates Gabe Blissenbac and Toby Abbott were third and fourth.
At 285 lbs. Parker Bentley was sixth.
The Hilltoppers will host their first home dual of the season Thursday when they face Fairmont State at 6:30 p.m. at the ASRC.
