Wheeling, W.Va. - The West Liberty University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Mountain East Conference Championship Saturday at the Oglebay Resort. 

The men came in fifth with Robert Allen the top individual placer at 18th in a time of 26:21.42, the Individual champion was Jan Thewes of Davis & Elkins at 25:00.23, the Senators also won the team title. West Liberty's Francis Toohey was 26th, Zachary Workman 37th, Jasper Brown 48th, Skylar Hundall 63rd and John Skinner was 65th. 

On the women's side, Lacey Dimit, just finished outside the top-15 at 16th overall in a time of 23:28.68. D&E's Lauren Twyman was the champion in a time of 21:59.90 and the Senators also won the team championship; West Liberty finished ninth overall.The Toppers Morgan Leshansky was 23rd, Ally Hicks 51st, Emily Dunlevy 61st and Makayla Carter was 67.
