Glenville, W.Va. - The West Liberty University football team dropped their road contest at Glenville State 37-14 Saturday. The Hilltoppers opened the scoring in the first quarter following an interception by Trent Crawford the Toppers scored a one-yard touchdown on a carry from Hunter Patterson. West Liberty led 7-3 after the first quarter a pair of Pioneer touchdown's in the second quarter gave Glenville State a 16-7 lead at the half. On their first drive of the third quarter West Liberty cut the lead to 16-14 thanks to an Alex Dunlevy to Hunter Patterson 11-yard touchdown pass. The Pioneers though would drive the field on their next possession to make it a two-score game 23-14. Glenville would score two more times in the fourth quarter on their way to victory. Turnovers once again haunted the Hilltoppers as they lost a pair of fumbles and threw three interceptions. With the loss the Hilltoppers fall to 2-6 overall and 2-4 in the Mountain East Conference.Â
