Elkins, W.Va. - The West Liberty University women's volleyball team took down Davis and Elkins in straight sets Friday night 3-0. The Hilltoppers raced out to a 14-4 lead in the opening set on their way to 25-16 victory. In the second set the Toppers opened an early 11-3 lead and cruised to a 25-11 win. In the third and final set West Liberty trailed 9-8 before going on a 12-2 run on their way to a 25-19 win. With the victory the Toppers improve to 9-11 overall and 4-2 in Mountain East Conference play. They also have a quick turnaround as they face West Virginia Wesleyan Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Rockefeller Center.
