West Liberty,W.Va. - Coming off of another outstanding season where they finished 13th overall in the NCAA tournament with Ty McGeary winning the national championship at 184 pounds and McGeary and Khyvon Grace earning All-American honors, the Hilltoppers are gearing up for an exciting 2024-25 season, highlighted by a challenging slate of dual meets and tournaments. Led by head coach Danny Irwin who is entering his sixth season the team will kick off its campaign at the Mount Union Invitational in Alliance, Ohio, on Saturday, November 2nd, before facing a series of high-profile opponents and traveling to prestigious events across multiple states.
The squad's home schedule features key match-ups, including the highly anticipated Alumni Night on Thursday, November 21st, when the team takes on Fairmont State at 6:30 PM. The season will also culminate in Senior Night on Thursday, February 13th, with a dual meet against Lake Erie College. The site for the Mountain East Conference tournament will be announced at a later date.
