West Liberty Volleyball Visits Wheeling Looking For 3rd Straight Win

West Liberty,W.Va. - The West Liberty University women's volleyball team travels to Wheeling University Tuesday night in search of their third straight win. The Hilltoppers will enter the match winners of five of their last six matches overall. West Liberty is coming off of a thrilling five-set victory over Frostburg State Friday. The HIlltoppers trailed two sets to one before winning the final two sets in dramatic fashion, with the win the Toppers improved to 3-1 in Mountain East Conference play. A win Tuesday would also be the first for the Hilltoppers on the Cardinals home floor, Wheeling is 8-1 at home this season.

  • Riley Kindall leads the MEC in total points (260.5), third in points per set (4.01), seventh in digs per set (3.54), tied for fifth in total digs (230), fourth in kills per set 3.72), first in total kills (242) 

  • Karly Niesen leads the MEC in assists per set (10.79), and total assists (723)

  • Mady Winters is second in the MEC in blocks per set (1.21) and total blocks (76)

The Hilltoppers will stay on the road with a trip to Davis & Elkins Friday with a 7 p.m. start.
