West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's soccer team used a pair or corner kick sets to score the 2-0 win over Wheeling on Sunday afternoon at the West Family Athletic Complex. The shutout gives the Hilltoppers their third in their first seven matches of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Joseph Fonagy scored his first goal of the season in 23rd minute of the game as he received the corner kick pass from Vitor Otsuka and headed the ball into the net to give West Liberty the 1-0 lead.
- Otsuka collected his second assist of the match in the 82nd minute to help extend the Hilltopper lead to 2-0, as he found Cormac McGinley who not only headed in his first goal of the season but the first of his career.
- Noah Underwood only had to make two saves in the match to secure his third shutout of the season.
- West Liberty held the advantage in shots (14-5), shots-on-goal (4-2), and corner kicks (5-3), while the teams were even in saves (2-2).
