West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty men's soccer team played to their second draw of the season at the West Family Athletic Complex, tying 1-1 with Salem on Sunday afternoon. The Hilltoppers scored first for the third time in five games this season but were unable to hold off the Tigers who evened the match early in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mark Donnely put West Liberty on the scoreboard first in the 29th minute of play, netting his third goal of the season. Donnely started the play by taking the ball away from Salem's Diego Losada and passed the ball of too Shimon Ichimiya, who then tallied his first career assist by finding Donnely cutting into open space in the box and placing the ball over the head of the Tiger's Samuel Reyna-Farje in goal.
- Salem was able to tie the match at one in the 54th minute of play as Ricardo Gallego Curto was able to head the ball into the net off the hands of WLU's Colton Callen who was charging forward to grab the high bouncing pass.
- Callen made his first appearance in goal this season and made his third career start while collecting three saves in the game.
- West Liberty held the advantage in shots (17-8), shots-on-goal (6-4), and corner kicks (8-1), while Salem held the edge in saves (5-3).
