Noah Underwood who walked away with his ninth program record as he is now in sole possession of the single-season shutouts record with five in 2023.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zachary Forehand notched the first shot-on-goal of the game in the 15th minute, as he battled a defender after receiving a pass from Vitor Otsuka. Forehand fired a shot from the right side of the six yard box that forced Logan Nelson to knock the ball over the net for a West Liberty corner kick.
- The second and final shot on target for the Hilltoppers came from Cormac McGinley in the 27th minute. McGinley headed a free kick from Jasper Newton towards the left side of the net that was corralled by Nelson.
- Noah Underwood added yet another record to his name in the West Liberty history books as he notched his fifth shutout of the year, the most in single-season program history. He also adds another tally next to his name in the career shutouts category, as he recorded his 13th career clean sheet in the Black & Gold.
- West Virginia Wesleyan held the advantage in shots (12-8) and shots-on-goal (4-2) while West Liberty held the edge in saves (4-2). The teams were even with six corner kicks apiece.
