West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's soccer team will begin the final stretch of the regular season as they play four of five remaining games on the road, starting with Wednesday's match at Concord. The Hilltoppers and Mountain Lions are set for a 1 p.m. kickoff at the Paul Cline Sports Complex in Beckley, West Virginia.

WEST LIBERTY STORYLINES

• West Liberty enters Wednesday's match with a record of 5-3-4 (4-3-2 MEC) on the season and is currently fourth in the Mountain East Conference standings with 14 points through nine matches.
• In their last game, WLU played to a 0-0 draw with Frostburg State at home on Sunday afternoon.
• Mark Donnelly leads West Liberty with four goals on the year while Vitor Otsuka, Jan Goebel, Zachary Forehand, and Oskar Voges have each found the back of the net twice this season.

• Fabian Amhof leads the team with a total of 15 points on the season, while being tied for the team lead in goals (5) and assists (5). Among the MEC leaders he ranks third in points and is tied for third in assists and tied for fourth in goals.
• Thomas Kelly is the only other player on the team to record double digit points with 14 on the year, as he is tied for the team lead in goals (5) and is third in assists (4). He is fourth in the conference in points and is tied for fourth in goals and is tied for fifth in assists.
• Andre Nicholson has matched Amhofs team-high of five assists and is tied for third in the league leaders. Nicholson has also added a pair of goals for nine points in 2023.

• Alex Smith is in his first season at Concord with a record of 5-2-5 during his time with the Mountain Lions. Smith is in his second season overall as a head coach in collegiate men's soccer and has recorded a career record of 12-11-5 after spending the previous season at Bluefield University.
