WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - The West Liberty University volleyball team dropped its final non-conference match of the season today in straight sets to Daemen.
The Hilltoppers finish non-conference play 10-5 and will begin a stretch of 16 Mountain East Conference matches starting next week.
The Wildcats earned 25-21, 25-16, and 25-21 victories to hand WLU its first home loss of the season.
In set three, West Liberty got up 12-10, the only time in the match WLU led after a set reached double digits.
The Black and Gold owned a blocking advantage at the net with 10 total team blocks.
Five aces were served by West Liberty.
Kirsten Bogunovich had a pair of aces, 14 assists, 10 digs, and four blocks for the Hilltoppers.
West Liberty begins conference play on Tuesday at Notre Dame College. First serve is scheduled for 7 pm.
