WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - The West Liberty University volleyball team will be in action this weekend at the Cedarville Invite in Cedarville, Ohio. The Hilltoppers will play four games across Friday and Saturday, starting with an 11:45 am matchup with Saginaw Valley State.
West Liberty is coming off a 1-3 trip to St. Petersburg, Florida to begin its 2022 season last weekend at the Eckerd College Invitational. The Black and Gold got off to a slow start suffering two sweeps on day one, but bounced back and ended the trip on a high note with a clean sweep of Wilmington (Del.) in the finale after dropping the opening match of day two, 3-1, to Tiffin.

Riley Cudnik earned All-Tournament team honors at Eckerd College Invitational. Setla recorded her 1,000th career dig last weekend in the win over Wilmington (Del.). She tied for the tournament lead in digs with 66 over four games, averaging 5.08 per set. Cudnik slammed 40 kills to lead the team this past weekend. She ranked third in the tournament with an average of 3.08 kills per set. The outside hitter had a hitting percentage of .429 in the match against Eckerd and 13 kills versus Tiffin.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Friday at 11:30 am vs. Saginaw Valley StateÂ
- This weekend will be the first meeting between Saginaw Valley St. and WLU.
Friday at 7:00 pm vs. Cedarville
- This will be the second all-time  meeting and first since 2012. The Hilltoppers lost in straight sets the only previous matchup.
Saturday at 11:30 am vs. Central StateÂ
- This weekend will be the first meeting between Central State and WLU.
Saturday at 2:00 pm vs. Seton Hill
- This will be the first neutral site and non-conference meeting between the Griffins and Hilltoppers. Last facing off as members of the WVIAC, Seton Hill owns a 2-0 all-time advantage. The meeting will be the first in 11 years.
