Women's Soccer Predicted Fourth in MEC North Division

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va.- The West Liberty University women's soccer team has been predicted to finish fourth in the Mountain East Conference North Division following the league's announcement of the preseason coaches poll this afternoon.

The Hilltoppers received 35 votes, slotting them ahead of Wheeling and Alderson Broaddus in the north. WLU posted a 6-9-3 overall record last season and went 5-8-3 in conference play to finish fourth in the division. 

Frostburg State will be the preseason favorites after collecting 64 votes and nine of the twelve first place votes in the north. Concord had the exact same vote tally to be the preseason number one in the south.

West Liberty will begin its 2022 season in less than one week (August 25) at Seton Hill. The home opener is slated for September 3 against Salem, while MEC play will begin September 7 on the home turf against Notre Dame College.
