WHEELING, W.Va. – It's déjà vu all over again for No. 2 West Liberty and Wheeling as the Ohio County rivals meet here tonight in a Mountain East Conference Tournament quarterfinal less than a week after closing out the regular season against each other at the McDonough Center. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. inside WesBanco Arena.

Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (26-2) breezed to a 109-94 victory in that encounter behind 27 points and 12 rebounds from MEC Player of the Year

The No. 9-seeded Cardinals (10-19) extended their season on Wednesday with a 78-72 first-round win against Glenville State. Jordan Reid and Jarrett Haines had 28 and 22 points, respectively, for Wheeling.
Tonight's winner advances to Saturday's 6 p.m. tournament semifinal against the winner of tonight's late game between No. 4 seed Fairmont State and No. 5 seed Notre Dame (Ohio).
