INDIANA, Pa. – No. 2 West Liberty and West Virginia State meet today for the third time this season in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament, hosted by Indiana (Pa.) University. TIpoff for the second of today's four quarterfinal games at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex is set for 2:30 p.m.
    Winners of 15 straight and 25 of their last 26, Coach Ben Howlett's No. 2-seeded Hilltoppers are coming off a 70-59 win over Charleston in the MEC Tournament final and are the defending Atlantic Region champions.
    The 7th-seeded Yellowjackets (23-7) haven't played since being upset by Alderson-Broaddus, 95-87, in an MEC Tournament quarterfinal last week but come into the NCAA Tournament having won 18 of their last 20.
    This is West Liberty's 13th consecutive NCAA Tournament trip – the longest active streak in the nation – and the school's 14th overall. The Black and Gold have a 29-12 record in NCAA tournament play and are 24-5 all-time in Atlantic Regional Tournament action.
    It's the 6th NCAA Tournament appearance for W.Va. State and the first for the Yellowjackets since 2010. The Yellowjackets are 4-5 in NCAA Tournament games but have a 4-1 record in the quarterfinals.
    The West Liberty/W.Va. State winner advances to Sunday's 5 p.m. regional semifinal against the winner of today's first quarterfinal between No. 6 seed Fairmont State (23-7) and No. 3 seed California, Pa. (21-9).
