BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Tickets for the 2022 Mountain East Conference Basketball Tournament, presented by TheHealthPlan at WesBanco Arena, are now on sale.

    West Liberty's men's and women's teams have each clinched a spot in the event, which will run from March 2-6 at the downtown Wheeling facility. Coach Ben Howlett's men lead the Mountain East Conference and are ranked No. 2 nationally with a 22-2 record while Coach Kyle Cooper's women are also in the hunt for a favorable seed with a 16-8 mark.
    Ten of the top 12 teams in the final regular season standings will advance to tournament action at WesBanco Arena, with the top six teams earning byes to the quarterfinal round. Men's and women's first round games between seeds 7-10 will be played on March 2. The tournament continues with women's quarterfinals on March 3 and men's quarterfinals on March 4.
    Men's and women's semifinals will be played on March 5 leading up to Championship Sunday on March 6.
    The men's and women's MEC Tournament champions each receive automatic bids to next month's NCAA Division II Atlantic Region tournaments.
    The West Liberty men and women will be in action at home tonight when they host Frostburg State inside the ASRC. The women's game tips off at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 7:30.
