GAME DAY CENTRAL

Streaks on the Line as No. 4 Hilltoppers Visit Mountain Lions

ATHENS, W.Va. – The No. 4-ranked West Liberty men will be seeking their 8th straight win and 18th in the last 19 games this afternoon when they visit an upset-minded Concord squad. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. inside the Carter Center.
Coach Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (21-2, 15-2) opened up a 2-game lead on the MEC pack Wednesday night with a 102-70 blowout of Glenville State. Pat Robinson's 20 points paced a balanced attack for WLU, which also got a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double from Marlon Moore Jr.
Wheeling hit two free throws with just 3 seconds left to hand the Mountain Lions an 82-80 road loss on Wednesday. Matt Weir hit 5 3-pointers and finished with 21 points for Concord (10-12, 8-9), which was coming off an identical 82-80 setback against No. 10 Fairmont State on this floor a week ago.
