BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - For the third time this season, Bryce Butler has been named the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, announced by the conference office today.

Coming off an MEC and National Player of the Week honor a week ago, Butler went right back to work with game-highs in both contests in Las Vegas. He started the weekend with a 22-point, 7-rebound, and 4-assist outing versus Lubbock Christian. Then, netted 29 points in the win over Missouri S&T on 12-of-15 shooting. He ended the week averaging 25.5 points per game and shot 63% from the floor (19-30) including a 4-for-6 mark from three.

The junior guard from Latrobe, Pa heads into the holiday break leading the MEC and ranking third in DII at an average of 24.0 points per game. He also is the nation's leader with 112 made field goals on the season in 180 attempts, shooting 62.2%.

The MEC Weekly Awards are presented by The Health Plan. This is just the sixth week of men's basketball season, Butler has now accounted for half of the Player of the Week honors.

Butler and the nationally-ranked Hilltoppers will be back in action on New Year's Eve with a trip to Bowie State on the docket.
