Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Notre Dame Holds on for 1-0 Win Over Women’s Soccer in Resumed Game

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio - The West Liberty University women's soccer team made the trek back up to South Euclid, Ohio this afternoon to finish the final 34 minutes of its September 25th suspended match against Notre Dame College. The Falcons scored in the 4th minute 19 days ago and were able to hold that lead today to earn the official victory.

The Hilltoppers fended off 11 shots in today's action, but could not get the offense needed to overcome the goal deficit.

West Liberty had two shots on goal in the first half in September, Isabella Bankovich and Claire Kelly produced the strikes for WLU in the 11th and 38th minutes, respectively. Kelly added the lone attempt in today's resumption in the 77th minute and missed wide right.

Zara Wickert ended the match with five total saves, two of which coming this afternoon.

West Liberty will fill the tank up and head on its longest road trip of the season to Concord this Sunday. Kickoff from Athens, W.Va. is scheduled for 1 pm.
