ELKINS, W.Va. – After moving back into the NCAA Division II Top 10, the West Liberty men need to finish off a season sweep of the Senators on their home floor to retain a share of first place in the Mountain East Conference. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. inside the McDonnell Center.
Coach Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (16-2, 10-2) overpowered Ohio County rival Wheeling, 109-85, on Saturday behind the 1-2 punch of Pat Robinson III and Bryce Butler. Robinson tossed in a game-high 29 points and 8 rebounds with Butler adding 26 points and 9 boards in the convincing win.
Davis & Elkins (6-11, 4-8) are back on the court less than 48 hours after dropping a 92-76 makeup game at Charleston on Monday. Breland Walton led all scorers with a game-high 28 points while Sam Rolle IV knocked down 19 lightings in a losing cause.
