Box Score FROSTBURG, Md. – The West Liberty University women's basketball team picked up its 10th win of the season here Wednesday, hanging on for a 66-58 win at Frostburg State.

Kyle Cooper's Hilltoppers (10-5, 5-4) held the Bobcats (2-12, 1-8) to just 18 percent shooting while opening up a 44-25 halftime lead but had to survive a length shooting slump of their own in the second half to come out on top.

Karly McCutcheon layup produced WLU's largest lead of the game, 46-25, at 8:20 of the third quarter but the Hilltoppers – who were shooting just under 50 percent (17-of-35) at that point – went just 4-of-22 (18.1 percent) from the floor the rest of the way.
West Liberty did just enough on offense to carry a 57-41 lead into the fourth quarter but with the visitors still struggling to score, Frostburg State slowly began to chip away at the deficit.
Maggie Sharp's conventional 3-point play pulled the Bobcats within four points, 61-57, with 1:52 to play but they could come no closer.
The Hilltoppers – who were just 1-of-10 from the floor in the fourth quarter – got it done on defense, holding Frostburg State without a basket the rest of the way while going 5-for-6 from the charity stripe to escape with the hard-earned win.
McCutcheon led WLU with 15 points, highlighted by a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line in the last 40 seconds, while
Bailee Smith added 14 points and 8 rebounds before fouling out down the stretch.
Molly Bauer had her first double-double with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds while Tingle finished with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Sharp led all scorers for Frostburg State with 17 points while Rhiana Hall added 14 lightings.
The Hilltoppers return home on Saturday to host Fairmont State. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. inside the ASRC.
