TIFFIN, Ohio – The West Liberty University volleyball team dropped its final non-conference match of the season here Tuesday as Tiffin (Ohio) bounced back from an early deficit to claim a 3-1 nod at the Gillmor Student Center.

Riley Schenk's Hilltoppers (9-7) dominated the opening set in rolling to a 25-14 win but it was all Dragons (4-8) the rest of the way. Tiffin squared the match with a 25-20 decision in the second set and closed things out by scores of 25-17 and 25-11.
Maddie Clayton had 14 kills and 3 blocks with a .342 hitting percentage to pace the Black and Gold while
Katelynn Fritz added a double-double of 11 kills and 14 digs in a losing cause.
Kirsten Bogunovich had 39 assists with
Nyia Setla's 28 digs leading four Hilltoppers in twin digits.
The West Liberty women open Mountain East Conference play at home on Sept. 28 with a 7 p.m. match against Notre Dame (Ohio).
