Kat Donzella has been honored as the Mountain East Conference's Player of the Week for the second time this season.
The junior slugger from Wheeling, W.Va. went 15-for-26 at the plate for the week with more than half of her hits - 5 doubles, 3 home runs – going for extra bases. Donzella hit .577 and slugged 1.115 with 10 runs and 6 RBIs to help WLU clinch another MEC North Division title.
The MEC North Division champion Hilltoppers open defense of their 2019 MEC Tournament crown on Friday when they take on MEC South No. 4 seed West Virginia Wesleyan in a 2:30 p.m. first-round matchup in Salem, Va.
