WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty men's basketball team looks to keep it rolling this afternoon when they host West Virginia Wesleyan in a Mountain East Conference division crossover game.
Tipoff is set for 4:30 p.m. but in accordance with the MEC's safe competition guidelines, no spectators will be permitted inside the arena.
Coach Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (6-3) posted their second straight blowout win on Wednesday, a 117-78 pasting of Alderson Broaddus. Will Yoakum's 23 points paced a balanced attack for a red-hot WLU squad that led by as many as 30 points in the first half before coasting home.
The hard-luck Bobcats (0-9) fell to Wheeling on Wednesday by an 85-77 count. Jaylin Reed's 18 points topped five double-figure scorers for Wesleyan.
Coach Howlett took a few minutes out of his Friday afternoon game prep to preview Sunday's game. Click on the photo above to hear his thoughts.
West Liberty fans can follow the Black and Gold online through a variety of platforms. Topper Station will be live streaming the telecast on the Topper Station website and Facebook page. The West Liberty live stream will also be available on the Mountain East's Conference's BlueFrame platform.
