WLU Women Challenge Wheeling in North Division Test

    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – Second place in the Mountain East Conference North Division will be up for grabs here tonight when the West Liberty women lock horns with Ohio County rival Wheeling.
    Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. inside the ASRC but in accordance with the MEC's safe competition guidelines, no spectators will be permitted inside the arena.
    Coach Kyle Cooper's Hilltoppers (4-6) have put together back-to-back double-digit wins and are coming off an 80-43 blowout of W.Va. Wesleyan on Sunday. Reigning MEC Player of the Week Audrey Tingle led the way, just missing a second consecutive triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists). Arriana Manzay notched her first double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds with Olivia Belknap adding a game-high 17 points.
    The visiting Cardinals (5-5) dropped their third straight on Monday, falling by an 82-53 count to unbeaten and No. 3-ranked Charleston. Junior All-American Lilly Ritz had 20 points and 22 rebounds in a losing cause.
