WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins' Sachiko Gamo scored two goals in the final two minutes of regulation here Wednesday to give D&E a 3-1 victory against West Liberty in a Mountain East Conference women's soccer match at the West Family Athletic Complex.

Barry Christmas' Hilltoppers (6-8-3, 5-7-3) struck first with
Jori Alexander powering a short-range shot through traffic in the 27th minute for a 1-0 West Liberty lead.
Davis & Elkins stepped up the offensive pressure considerably in the second half but the Black and Gold were able to weather the storm until the final 15 minutes.
Azalea Ayala gathered a cross inside the 18 and found the top right corner to equalize for the visitors in the 75th minute. The Senators continued to press forward and just as it appeared the match was headed for extra time, they finally broke through.
In the 89th minute, Gamo collected a loose ball in the West Liberty end and scored on a well-struck drive from 25 yards out to put D&E ahead to stay. With just 18 seconds left, she added a penalty kick to conclude the scoring.
Davis & Elkins had a 20-8 advantage in shots on goal for the night and outshot the Hilltoppers, 13-1, in the second half.
Kaitlyn Taylor had seven saves in net for West Liberty while Jessica Crowder made two saves to get the win for the Senators.
The Hilltoppers close out the regular season at Wheeling on Sunday.
