CLARION, Pa. – The West Liberty University women's basketball team will be "tippin" off in Tippin Gym tonight when the Black and Gold visit Clarion (Pa.) for another non-conference test.
Coach
Kyle Cooper's Hilltoppers (1-1) handled their most recent challenge from a PSAC foe in style on Sunday, holding off a late Mercyhurst rush for an 84-75 victory.
Corinne Thomas and
Bailee Smith led five double-figure scorers for WLU with 20 and 18 points, respectively.
Coach Jana Ashley's Golden Eagles (0-2) dropped a 72-70 nail-biter to Concord in their last outing. Cory Santoro and Sierra Bermudez paced Clarion with 19 and 18 points, respectively, with Olivia Boocks adding 13 more in a losing cause.
