WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University volleyball team handed Frostburg State a 3-1 setback here Friday night in a Mountain East Conference North Division match inside the ASRC.

Riley Schenk's Hilltoppers (11-9, 2-2) took a quick early lead with a 25-18 win in the opening set but the visiting Bobcats (4-12, 1-3) evened the tally with a 25-21 decision in the second set. West Liberty closed out the match by taking the next two sets, 27-25 and 26-24.
Madison Clayton led the way for the Black and Gold with 15 kills and 3 blocks while
Nina Billotto also hit double-figures with 10 kills and
Riley Cudnik just missed a double-double with 9 kills and 8 digs.
Kirsten Bogunovich checked off several boxes with 42 assists, 7 digs and 3 service aces.
Nyia Setla had 22 digs while
Katelynn Fritz and
Laura Gamel chipped in with 17 and 16 digs, respectively.
The West Liberty women return to action on Tuesday when they host defending MEC champion Wheeling in a 7 p.m. match at the ASRC.
