ELKINS, W.Va. – Unbeaten and No. 4-ranked Davis & Elkins broke up a scoreless tie with back-to-back goals late in the first half here Sunday night and pulled away to a 5-0 victory against West Liberty in Mountain East Conference men's soccer action at Nuttall Field.

Sean Regan's Hilltoppers (4-9-0, 3-8-0) were able to keep the Senators (11-0-1, 8-0-1) at bay for most of the opening half but the hosts' Daniel Cerezo took advantage of a WLU turnover to score the game's first goal in the 29th minute and David Jara added another score in the 30th minute.
West Liberty kept D&E off the board for the remainder of the half but the Senators tacked on three more goals in the final 45 minutes to conclude the scoring.

Noah Underwood was charted with seven saves on the night as Davis & Elkins launched 19 shots at net with 12 of them arriving on frame.
The West Liberty men return home on Wednesday to host Frostburg State. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the West Family Athletic Complex.
