PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The West Liberty women make their first trip to Philippi in nearly a decade today as they welcome old friend Alderson Broaddus to the Mountain East Conference.
Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. but in accordance with the MEC's safe competition guidelines, no spectators will be permitted inside Rex Pyles Arena.
Head coach
Kyle Cooper's Hilltoppers (0-1, 0-1) battled Notre Dame on even terms for much of the night on Thursday before dropping an 83-71 decision.
Olivia Belknap had a team-high 20 points while
Audrey Tingle added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
Meanwhile, Wheeling was spoiling the Battlers' (0-1, 0-1) MEC debut by coasting to a 76-63 win. Yolanda Florido and Iyahnna Williams had 14 and 10 points, respectively, in a losing cause.
