    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty women will be seeking their third straight win today when they host Charleston in the NCAA D2 Basketball Showcase. Tip-off time is set for 1:35 p.m. at the ASRC.
    The NCAA D2 Basketball Showcase broadcast team of Darren Goldwater (play-by-play) and Leah Secondo (color) will be courtside to call all the action. Fans of the Black and Gold who can't make it to the game have a plethora of options to see the women's game.

    Coach Kyle Cooper's Lady Hilltoppers (9-12, 5-10) are coming off a 74-68 win at West Virginia State on Wednesday. Taylor Johnson scored 16 points and Morgan Brunner drained four 3-pointers for the Black and Gold.
    The Golden Eagles (17-4, 12-3) have won 5 straight after taking down Wheeling, 85-67, on Wednesday. Anna Hayton had 20 points and 8 rebounds with Erykah Russell adding 16 points and 9 boards.
    This is the 56th meeting between Charleston and West Liberty. UC holds a slim 29-26 lead in the series but has won just 7 of the last 20 matchups. That includes a 78-68 win in Charleston on Dec. 11. The Hilltoppers' Morgan Brunner hit three 3FGs and was 8-for-8 from the line for a game-high 23 points.
