    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty women hope to keep on rolling into next week's MEC Tournament when they close out the regular season today at home against Ohio County rival Wheeling. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. inside the ASRC.

    Coach Kyle Cooper's Hilltoppers (11-16, 7-14) are coming off an impressive 82-75 road upset of regionally-ranked Notre Dame on Wednesday. Taylor Johnson's 19 points paced a balanced attack for the Black and Gold.
    The Cardinals (10-17, 9-12) have lost 4 of their last 5 following Wednesday's 93-68 setback at Urbana. Lilly Ritz had 27 points and 13 rebounds for Wheeling.
    Today is Senior Day on the hilltop! West Liberty seniors Monica Bragg, Morgan Brunner, Grace Fodor and Taylor Johnson will be honored in pre-game ceremonies.
    This is the 95th game between the neighboring rivals since women's basketball became an official West Virginia Conference sport in the 1981-82 season. The WLU women have won 24 of the last 29 meetings to open up a 52-42 lead in the all-time series.
